I am a clinical doctor of audiology who is currently pursuing his PhD in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota.
My current research is investigating vocal prosody's role in communication. Vocal prosody-- the way words are said-- adds information like emotion and meaning to speech. I am particularly interested in perception of these cues by populations with abnormal hearing, such as those with hearing loss and users of cochlear implants.
